Senior Specialist/Expert (Modem Algorithm Design)

Location: Lund, Sweden.

Responsibilities:
– Responsible for the physical layer algorithms development in particular related to 5G. Naturally, it covers implement also new LTE-A features and troubleshooting in order to improve performance, reduce implementation complexity.
– Analyze the research area and define the problem(s), derive and identify and define potential algorithm(s), and perform extensive computer simulations (e.g. link level simulation). Document, patent or/and publish selected ideas in
journals or/and on conferences.
– The work will be done in very close cooperation with the other organizations within company involved in 5G.

Experience and Skills:
– To be successful in this role the candidate should have more than 10 years industrial experience in wireless baseband algorithm development and strong background in wireless communications and signal processing, e.g. MIMO and array processing, channel estimation, etc., and familiar with LTE and its evolutions and good understanding of PHY and MAC layers.
– An impressive list of papers and patents is a significant plus.
– Familiar with Matlab, C, C++ languages, and scripting (perl, python, etc).
– A PhD Degree in EE, wireless communication or equivalent background is
highly preferable.
– Prior experience from international and multicultural work is preferred.
– As we are a global company the candidate must be able to communicate
fluently in English, both verbally and in writing.
– Good social and networking skills to support teamwork in project groups as well as ability to work independently.

This is a fulltime position at Huawei in Lund, Sweden.
Starting date as soon as possible.

• Excellent knowledge with popular JavaScript frameworks and libraries (particularly React and jQuery).
• Good Knowledge in Webpack or similar solutions.
• Good Knowledge of CSS pre compilers (we use SASS).
• Experience working in GIT.
• Experience in Google Analytics, Photoshop plugins, Bootstrap and UI/UX is a plus.

Huawei Sweden is looking for Wireless R&D experts to drive 5G

5G RAN System
The candidate will be a driver for the systems architecture and functionality innovation, enabling a world class communication system meeting the future capacity, flexibility and services’ needs, and allowing for a variety of new deployment scenarios including Cloud RAN and Ultra-Dense Networks.

The candidate should have minimum 8 years of experience in R&D of Radio Network or Radio Base Station Design, e.g. Logical, functional, SW and HW architectures, baseband and/or wireless applications systems and architectures. Highly developed communication skills are a must and a proven track record in technology leadership is meriting.

5G Parallel Computing
In order to leverage the many-core architectures as well as coping with the ever increasing processing demands it is important to parallelize the system wherever possible, from the applications down to the platform. The candidate will be a driver for the system and technology innovation within the area of parallel computing solutions and architecture in the Radio Access Network.

The candidate should have minimum 8 years of experience in R&D of parallel systems, or parallel computing, in Radio Network or Radio Base Station Design.

About the position
We are currently looking for a NFV Operation Senior Consultant at Huawei in Stockholm/Kista, to take on the challenge to build the strategy and competence of NFV (Network Functions Virtualization) Operation Services in telecommunication area.

You will work in an innovative team to perform NFV Operation Service research.
This person will be responsible for the research on new requirements of NFV Operation.
The position will also include responsibility for communicate with CXO level of carriers and identify key requirements and/or lead the requirements, as well as proactively supporting key projects from solution perspective and identify and articulate key competences of NFV Operation.
The work will be done in very close cooperation with a local and HQ GTS team.

Qualifications and experience
To be successful in this role the candidate should have more than 10 years experiences in telecommunication network and/or IT operation especially in virtualized network/IT operation.
Also required is expertise of ITSM/eTOM and network virtualization domain, including virtualized network functions (VNF), network function virtualization infrastructure (NFVI) and management and operations system (MANO).

A Bachelor Degree or above in telecommunication/IT or equivalent background is required.

Skills requirements:
•  Excellent communication and presentation capability with customer CXO level.
•  High focus on delivering high quality work.
•  Strong feeling and interest for development and to share experiences with others in the team and have a proven capability to pursue creative solutions.
•  Prior experience as CTO/CIO in carrier or relevant service solution architecture/consultant in telecommunication and/or IT service vendors is preferred.

The purpose of this project is to establish a scalable and economically sustainable model for the inclusion of newly arrived graduates. We’re specifically aiming for graduates with IT and telecom competence since there’s a big demand for these talents in Stockholm.

The model we want to create means that the competence of the talents will be recognized much faster and that the companies looking for IT talents can take advantage of this. This also means that the way into the Swedish society will be much faster and smoother for the newly arrived individuals.
